Privacy Notice for Foundation Beneficiaries and Candidates

Medical Alliance for Health, AC (the “Association”), with registered address at Prolongación Paseo de la Reforma 627-903, Col. Paseo de las Lomas Santa Fe, Alcaldía Álvaro Obregón, Mexico City, CP 01330, is responsible for the processing and protection of your personal data.

Your personal data will be used by the Association to: (i) conduct the selection process for awarding scholarships; (ii) send reports to the Association's internal bodies; (iii) send relevant information regarding the Association's activities, including invitations to seminars and events in Mexico; and (iv) publish testimonials on social media and the Association's website.

For the purposes set forth in the preceding paragraph, the Association will collect your following personal information: CV (full name, date of birth, address, employment information, email address, publications and conference participation information); letter of recommendation; current official identification (e.g., voter registration card, passport, or US visa); and passport-sized photograph.

In order to fulfill the purposes described above, the Association may share some or all of your personal data with third parties, whether domestic or foreign. Furthermore, the Association will ensure, through the signing of agreements and/or the adoption of other binding documents, that said third parties maintain adequate administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your personal data, as well as that said third parties only use your personal data for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

You have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, object to its processing, limit its use or disclosure, or revoke the consent you have given the Association to process such data by sending a request to info@amsa.mx, attention: personal data (the "Request").

The Request must contain, at a minimum, the following information: (i) your full name and email address or address so that we can communicate the response to your Request; (ii) documents proving your identity (i.e., a valid official identification document) or, where applicable, the legal representation of the person processing the Request on your behalf (i.e., a power of attorney signed before two witnesses accompanied by a copy of the official identification documents of the person granting the power of attorney and the legal representative); (iii) a clear description of the personal data with respect to which you seek to exercise any of the aforementioned rights; and (iv) any other element or document that facilitates the identification of your personal data. In the case of requests to rectify personal data, you must indicate the modifications to be made and provide the documentation that supports your request.

In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, the Association has a period of 20 (twenty) business days from the date of receipt of your Request to notify you of the decision made via the email address or address you provided in the Request. If applicable, the Association will have an additional period of 15 (fifteen) business days following the date of notification to make it effective. The aforementioned deadlines may be extended once for an equal period, provided that the circumstances of the case justify it.

As the data subject, you have the right to appeal to the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information, and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) if you believe your right to personal data protection has been violated.
